CDMX, (Notifax).- El primer trasplante de corazón que se realiza en México y América Latina lo llevó o a cabo la doctora María del Sol García Ortegón, cirujana cardíaca, quien con éxito realizó la operación, gracias a la formación académica y clínica de más de 20 años.
La especialista trabaja en el Centro Médico 20 de Noviembre del Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado (ISSSTE), donde el pasado 11 de julio realizó la cirugía sustitutiva a la paciente Enésima Solís, quien padecía insuficiencia cardíaca grave y de origen desconocido.
A los 37 años Solís tenía una expectativa de vida de unos cuantos meses. Ya no se podía levantar ni realizar las actividades básicas como comer y bañarse sola. Ahora podrá llevar una vida normal, explicó en conferencia.
